While at Hodia Shooting Stars Day Camp, campers will participate in a variety of activities while gaining useful skills and making lifelong friends. Campers interact with other kids and adults with type 1 diabetes and medical professionals who can teach them critical self-care skills in a safe and welcoming environment. Some of our activities of camp this year will include singing songs, arts and crafts, playing games, diabetes (FUN) education, and field trips to explore various places around Boise!

Arts & Crafts

Kids will spend time exercising the right side of their brains at camp! From bracelets, trinkets, and sculptures, our kids discover artistic talents, which some continue to pursue long after camp is over.

A fun hands-on approach inspires young minds to take an active role that stimulates learning and addresses the developmental needs of children.

Camp Fees

Subsidized Camp Fee

$200

This fee is for families in our service area: Idaho, Eastern Oregon and Western Wyoming. Generous supporters make this subsidy possible, and we are so grateful for each of those donors.*

Full Camp Fee

$700

The true cost of camp. This is the fee for campers outside of our service area and for those who can pay the fee. Selecting this option allows us to spend donated funds on subsidy and/or campership of families with true financial need.

*Camperships

$10

Thanks to many generous donors, Hodia has never turned a child away for financial reasons. Simply sign-up for camp and complete the Campership Application. Camperships are based on financial need. If you have an extenuating financial situation and need a full campership, or need accommodations to pay the registration fee, please call us.
