IMPORTANT UPDATE ABOUT 2025 SHOOTING STARS DAY CAMP

To ensure as many kids as possible have the opportunity to experience camp, Shooting Stars Day Camp will have a waitlist this year. Enrollment for this session is priority-based, not first come, first served. If your child is eligible for other Hodia camps this summer, we encourage you to explore those options. This camp has filled quickly in the past, and we want to make sure our youngest and first-year campers have a chance to join the fun!
CITs for this session will also need to join the waitlist.

At Hodia Shooting Stars Day Camp, campers will take part in a variety of fun activities while developing essential skills and building lifelong friendships. They’ll connect with other kids and adults with type 1 diabetes, and learn important self-care from medical professionals in a safe, welcoming environment. This year’s activities include arts and crafts, games, engaging diabetes education, and exciting field trips to explore different spots around the Treasure Valley!

Camp Fees

Subsidized Camp Fee

$200

This fee is for families in our service area: Idaho, Eastern Oregon and Western Wyoming. Generous supporters make this subsidy possible, and we are so grateful for each of those donors.*

Full Camp Fee

$400

The true cost of camp. This is the fee for campers outside of our service area and for those who can pay the fee. Selecting this option allows us to spend donated funds on subsidy and/or campership of families with true financial need.

*Camperships

$10

Thanks to many generous donors, Hodia has never turned a child away for financial reasons. Simply sign-up for camp and complete the Campership Application. Camperships are based on financial need. If you have an extenuating financial situation and need a full campership, or need accommodations to pay the registration fee, please contact us.
