IMPORTANT TRANSPORTATION UPDATE FOR 2025 SUMMER CAMPS
Transportation will look a little different this year! Instead of multiple bus check-in locations, there will be a single camp check-in at Luther Heights. This change was made to help sustain camp and continue serving families with type 1 diabetes for years to come, while also giving parents and guardians the opportunity to visit the camp, meet our caring staff, and connect with other families during drop-off.
At the end of camp, campers will be bussed to designated locations in Idaho Falls, Jerome, and Boise, ID for parent or guardian pick-up. More details will be provided closer to camp.
We understand this update may create transportation challenges, so if you’re unable to drive your camper to camp, please feel free to contact us to discuss possible options.

Camp Activities

Archery
While learning archery, Hodia campers practice focus, concentration, and learn safety guidelines—all while having a great time trying something different. Some of our campers would make Robin Hood proud!

Arts & Crafts
Kids will spend time exercising the right side of their brains at camp! From bracelets, trinkets, and sculptures, our kids discover artistic talents, which some continue to pursue long after camp is over.

Hiking
Some of the nation’s most spectacular hiking trails are in our backyard! Hodia campers of every skill level get the opportunity to explore the Sawtooth Mountains including hikes to high mountain lakes.

Evening Mixers
During the evening mixers, campers get to hang out, play board games, dance, socialize, and have fun with the whole camp!

Talent Show
From the strange, to the hilarious, to the unique, the Hodia Talent Show is always a sight to behold. With different personalities and skill sets, our campers bring new and fun things to this show each year!

Campfire
During campfire, campers are treated to songs old and new and have the opportunity to unwind from their busy day. Many years, we have storytime at campfire!

Horseback Riding
Campers have the opportunity to explore from the back of a horse! This may be the start of a career in horse wrangling!
Camp Fees
Subsidized Camp Fee
$625
This fee is for families in our service area: Idaho, Eastern Oregon, Western Wyoming or Northern Utah. Generous supporters make this subsidy possible, and we are so grateful for each of those donors.*
Full Camp Fee
$2,500
The true cost of camp for each camper. This is the fee for campers outside of our service area and for those who can pay the fee. Selecting this option allows us to spend donated funds on subsidy and/or campership of families with true financial need.
*Camperships
TBD
Thanks to the generosity of many donors, Hodia has never turned a child away due to financial need. To request financial assistance, simply register for camp and complete the Campership Application. Camperships are awarded based on financial need.
If your family has an extenuating situation and requires a full Campership, or if you need flexibility with the registration fee, please contact us.
