Blake Taylor Thompson, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, NREMT
A fun, non-camp fact about myself is that I compete in the Scottish Highland Games.
I was born and raised in South Central Idaho, am the son of a school teacher and an EMT. I started working in healthcare at 16 years of age as a nurses assistant, by 21 years old an experienced EMT and new LPN spending my first summer at Camp. Specialties in nursing include trauma certifications and wilderness medicine training. My wife (Madison), my dog (Tedi) and myself look forward to spending as much time as possible at camp and with Idaho Diabetes Youth Programs activities.
My home base at camp is the Health Center and my role consists of working with the camp leadership to ensure a safe environment and be sure that we are prepared for most medical emergencies or acute illnesses or injuries that can arise at camp. I’m happy to serve Camp Hodia in my role as a Camp Nurse!
