Hodia Wilderness Camp Jul 18 - Jul 21 2018 Backpack Trip

For Hodia campers, ages 14 to 19, who seek the thrill of the great outdoors and are ready to respond to the call of the wild, Hodia Wilderness Camp provides an extended adventure into new and exciting territory. The camp will usually consist of a backpacking trip of 5-7 days, but shorter options may be available from year to year.

Due to forest service restrictions, Hodia Wilderness Camp participation will be limited depending on location.  Participants and staff will be chosen based upon an application process. We may not be able to accept all applicants due to the trail/camping restrictions and demands of the program. Participants will be given priority based on application date, preparedness and motivation to participate.

Note also that proof of current tetanus immunization is required for participation at Hodia Wilderness Camp (vaccination within 5 years prior to camp).

Since these camps require more limited staff responsibilities than our traditional summer camps and are more of a pleasure camp similar to ski camp, staff are requested to pay the camp fee as well.  Doing so will allow for additional staff participation and help offset the cost for the kids.

Location, Dates  & Fees

The location of camp varies year to year in some of Idaho’s popular wilderness areas.
